Loving our little ones is both a joy and a pleasure for me. I have a tip for parents. Rather than labeling stubbornness in a child as a flaw, see it as a sign of latent potential that can be tapped into and nurtured. With the right guidance, that strong will can lead to lifelong confidence, independence, and inner strength. Respecting a child’s stubbornness is protecting their sense of autonomy. These children aren’t being difficult, they’re expressing their own views and emotions. Take time to listen calmly, acknowledge their feelings, and understand the root of their resistance. Instead of constant prohibitions, introduce clear, simple rules that help them feel secure while knowing their limits. Show them where they can decide for themselves, what requires discussion, and what’s non-negotiable. Stubborn children don’t need force, they need connection and clarity. Parents and children are mirrors to one another, growing and learning together. In that shared journey, both sides discover love, strength, and the best versions of themselves.

Let’s pop the top off the good mood can and pour out the joke of the day. It’s called “A Lightbulb Moment.”

The famed inventor Thomas Edison spent years trying to create the light bulb. Finally, late one night, he got a bulb to continuously glow. He ran through the house, up the stairs to his wife in the bedroom:

“Honey, I’ve done it!”

His wife rolled over and said:

“Will you just turn off that light and come to bed!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Rania in Syria
