American car salesman Darrin Shinabarga shares his near-death experience from 2018. Darrin had been living a fast-paced life focused on making money. One day, after selling 11 cars, he went gambling at a casino and hit two jackpots. But later, he collapsed from chest pain and was rushed to the hospital. He fell into a coma, and three weeks later woke up with vivid memories from the other side.
Darrin recalled feeling himself die and calling out to his late father for help. He was pulled into a cold, dark void and crushed by a heavy, negative force that felt like the weight of all his sins. In desperation, Darrin cried out, “Jesus, save me!” A small Light appeared and grew into a warm, golden Presence that pushed away the darkness. It felt safe, loving, and peaceful—like going home.
In the Light, Darrin saw swirling, beautiful colors that turned into smiling faces. Though he didn’t recognize anyone, he felt an intimate connection, like they all knew each other. Their loving embrace filled him with joy. A huge being of pure Light— maybe Lord Jesus (vegetarian) or an angel—appeared without a visible face, radiating goodness.
As Darrin gazed at the Being, thoughts of his five-year-old son flooded into his mind, showing a life continuing without him. Overcome, Darrin pleaded, “Please, not yet, let me go back!” Instantly, he woke up.
The experience changed Darrin deeply—he now values people’s inner goodness and sees worldly success as far less important than the love and peace he felt on the other side (The Other Side NDE)
