Pastor Steve Kang shares his near-death experiences of Heaven and hell, which made him a believer in Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian)
Steve was raised in a devout Buddhist family in South Korea. As a child, he prayed daily for hours, seeking to escape suffering and attain Nirvana [liberation].
At 18, Steve moved to the US for college. He was tempted by drugs, and eventually started using a laced marijuana mix called the “death bowl.” For ten days, he couldn’t sleep or distinguish reality, descending into demonic torment.
On the ninth day, a deceptive figure resembling an elderly Asian man— later revealed to be the devil— offered Steve a deal: take his life and suffer 50,000 fewer years in hell. Desperate, Steve wrote a goodbye letter to his mother and, on the tenth day, attempted suicide. Despite intervention from his mother and the police, Steve cut an artery and collapsed in blood.
Steve’s spirit left his body and descended into hell— a barren, cracked wasteland filled with lost souls and huge demons wearing black cloaks. There, he was overwhelmed with torment and the supernatural realization that he was a sinner, deserving of eternal punishment. Though he had never believed in hell, he now knew it was real.
Then by GOD’s Grace, Steve returned to his body in the hospital. His mother’s Christian friend had gathered a group who prayed over him during life-saving surgeries. Before waking, Steve heard a Divine Voice say, “No more drugs. I love you,” bringing deep peace. When he awoke, he shared his vision and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Later, at a prayer mountain in Corona, California, Steve was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He felt fire surge through his body, enabling him to speak in tongues and preach spontaneously without any prior experience. But when Steve went back to college, he was tempted by his old classmates and fell back into drugs. He tried to justify it, thinking GOD’s Grace would cover him. After three car crashes, he was struck with fear of the LORD.
GOD then gave Steve a vision of Heaven— golden streets, angelic Music, and the New Jerusalem. The Father, appearing as a ball of Light, told him, “Jesus is My beloved Son, in Whom I’m well pleased. Listen to Him.” That moment marked the end of Steve’s drug use.
Pastor Steve now urges everyone to repent, turn from sin, and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He preaches that Lord Jesus is the way to final salvation, and that hell is real. He emphasizes that true repentance and being morally good are necessary to enter Heaven. Through the Power of the Holy Spirit, anyone can be saved, healed, and completely transformed (Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural!)
Elevating quote of the day: “The world is a fearful ocean. The word of the Guru is the boat, and He or She is the Captain. Thereof, it is with His or Her Grace that one can reach GOD, and there is no other way.” — The Venerated Enlightened Master Sant Kirpal Singh Ji (vegetarian)
