US President Trump tells reporters He will not meet with Democratic congressional leaders unless their ongoing government shutdown ends (Reuters)
Analysis: Top Democrats admit Americans’ suffering is their political “leverage” during the ongoing shutdown, which has left over a million federal workers unpaid, airports delayed, and aid programs halted. Democrat leaders’ own words expose their depravity: - Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer: “Every day gets better for us.” - Representative Katherine Clark [Democrat]: “There will be families that are going to suffer… but it is one of the few leverage times we have.” - Senator Bernie Sanders [Democrat]: “[If] you reopen the government and we lose our leverage…” - Senator Martin Heinrich [Democrat]: “That just gives the President more leverage” if we vote to pay troops, airport agents, or law enforcement. - Unnamed Democrat Senator: “People are going to get hammered” if they vote for the House-passed bill to reopen the government. - Unnamed Democrat Senator: “We would have enough votes if people were not terrified of getting the guillotine.” - Senior Democrat Aide: “The [Democratic] party will not concede short of ‘planes falling out of the sky.’”
This is Democrats’ playbook: inflict maximum pain on Americans to cling to power. While President Trump takes decisive action to ensure troops are paid and low-income women and children still get food aid, unhinged Democrats are doing anything they can to stop Him (WhiteHouse.gov)
The UK now tops Europe for mobile phone thefts, with cases quadrupling in five years, now generating an estimated £50 million annually for organized crime groups via global smuggling networks. Police warn that unlocked phones give criminals access to sensitive data for resale. Because countries like China and some in Africa don’t use the IMEI [International Mobile Equipment Identity] blocking system, stolen phones can still operate there. UK police have urged tech companies such as Apple and Samsung to boost security and help disable stolen devices (VTV)
Experts say bông điên điển— a golden Mekong Delta flower often enjoyed in vegan soups and salads— is a nutrient-rich powerhouse. Packed with vitamins A, C, and B, plus minerals like calcium, iron, and magnesium, it supports digestion, eases bloating, and strengthens immunity. Lightly blanch or stir-fry the flowers to preserve their nutrients and enjoy as part of a nutritious vegan diet (Thanh Niên)
The World Health Organization (WHO) says diets lacking fruits and vegetables is one of the top 10 global causes of death, with an estimated 3.9 million fatalities in 2017. Research shows fruits and vegetables provide numerous vital compounds to protect the heart, brain, and organ systems; a deficiency of these essential plant-based compounds accounts for 14% of deaths from digestive system cancers, 11% from ischemic heart disease, and 9% from stroke. Experts recommend eating a whole-food vegan diet to ensure adequate fruit and vegetable intake for good health (Tuổi Trẻ)
UK nutritionist Federica Amati from Imperial College London warns the “high-protein” label on many food products is mostly marketing, not a guarantee of health. US study finds America’s animal-people meat habit produces more carbon than the entire country of Italy’s total carbon output. In US cities, animal-people meat consumption produces massive carbon emissions, sometimes equal to an entire household’s electricity use. Cutting a household’s beef intake in half can save as much carbon as installing solar panels, and switching to vegan meals greatly reduces carbon output as well as total land, water, and resource usage (VegNews)

Hindu man Santosh Acharjee shares how he died and faced the gates to Heaven and hell.
Santosh was born into a devout Hindu family in India, where his father was a respected Sanskrit scholar and priest. Though raised with strong religious traditions, Santosh chose a career in engineering, which took him around the world before settling in Ohio [US].
One night, Santosh suffered severe chest pain and was rushed to intensive care. Doctors discovered ruptured gallstones had damaged his pancreas, causing unstoppable internal bleeding. They told him there was nothing more they could do— only to “pray and hope.” His condition worsened until he collapsed and flatlined.
Santosh was clinically dead for three days and nights, with no memory of that time on Earth. But he recalls every moment of what followed outside this world.
Santosh found himself fully conscious inside his unresponsive body. At first, everything was dark. Then, a radiant Light appeared—so powerful he instantly knew it held Divine authority. The Light approached, filled him with peace, and lifted him from the hospital room.
Santosh fell in love with the Light as he traveled with It through dark tunnels. At journey’s end, the Light shone on top of a vast, beautiful compound surrounded by high walls and twelve gates. It shimmered with brilliance, and angels guarded every entrance. Santosh longed to enter but found all gates closed. He stood on a high platform at the extreme left edge, realizing that below him was a massive abyss— a deep, dark dungeon leading to a burning lake of fire. There were no guard rails; Santosh knew if he fell, it would be permanent. Unable to return to Earth or enter Heaven, his only option was to dive left into hell fire. Overwhelmed with sadness, Santosh wished for an alternative.
In the distance, on a huge throne above three altar steps, sat a majestic Being, around 70 feet [21 meters] tall. Without introduction, Santosh knew this was the “Lord of all.” Looking just once into the Lord’s face, guilt and shame overwhelmed Santosh as every sin of his life flashed before his eyes. He could only look down at the Being’s massive feet and plead, “Lord, please forgive me. I committed so many wrongdoings.” Expecting judgment and fire, he waited for the end.
Then the Lord spoke in a voice of deep authority and perfect love: “What are you doing here?” Santosh shrugged, unsure. The Lord said, “I am sending you back to Earth. But when you are back, I want you to love your family and love your children.”
Hearing the Lord gave Santosh courage; he had expected the worst, but instead heard the tenderness, compassion and mercy in His voice. To the left of the throne, Santosh noticed a single narrow open door— the only way into the shining kingdom. He asked, “Lord, please tell me which church, temple, mosque, synagogue, or other place to join. Otherwise, I’ll keep repeating the same sins over and over.” Silence. Santosh pleaded once more: “Please, Lord. I want to enter through this narrow door.” Finally, the Lord replied, “Those things are not important to Me. I want an honest relationship. I want to see how true, how sincere, how honest you are with Me— not just once a week, but every day, 365 days a year.”
Confused, Santosh said: “Lord, I’m a simple human being—please tell me what to do to enter next time.” The Lord gave one directive and five instructions: > Directive (mandatory): Love your family and children. > Instruction 1: Always tell the truth— don’t lie; share the truth when appropriate. > Instruction 2: The wages of sin is death— commit no more sins from this day. > Instruction 3: Surrender completely to Me—let Me drive your daily life. > Instruction 4: Walk with Me—go the same direction as I lead, not backward or sideways. > Instruction 5: Always be kind and generous to the poor—they need help. (To Santosh, poverty includes financial, physical, mental, educational, and spiritual; even churchgoers can be spiritually poor without a relationship with God.)
The Lord also commanded: “Write two books.” Santosh protested— he’d never written. “Don’t worry; you will,” the Lord said.
After three days, Santosh revived— a medical miracle, as doctors confirmed no intervention could have saved him from the bleeding pancreas and flooded lungs.
Back to work, assignments took him to China and India, but the near-death experience haunted him. Hindu scriptures mentioned no such gates, throne, or Figure—unlike multi-armed gods/goddesses. Santosh did write two books about what he saw, as the Lord instructed. It felt Divinely directed: “As if somebody wrote through me; I had no clue what I was writing.”
Later, while attending an Easter church service with his daughter, Santosh recognized the “narrow door” the pastor described from his own vision. Only then did he realize that the Great Being he met was Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian)
Now Santosh shares one message above all: “Love one another. I know we have a lot of differences—differences in religions, cultures, skin colors, or whatever— but love one another. Love is the only thing that can save us” (Randy Kay)
Elevating quote of the day: “None of you truly believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself.” — The Venerated Enlightened Prophet Muhammad (vegetarian) (Peace Be Upon Him)
