Jewish Puerto Rican man Israel Shalom died from COVID-19 and met Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) in Heaven. In November 2021 he got sick, and his condition quickly worsened— he developed pneumonia, bronchitis, and dangerously low oxygen levels. At home, struggling to breathe, he lost consciousness and felt his spirit leave his body. Four shining men in white garments led him to a golden door, where he met Lord Jesus, Who told him it was not yet his time and sent him back into his body. Israel then sought medical help and was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

While hospitalized, Israel’s heart stopped several times, and during those moments, he had vivid spiritual experiences. He saw a woman in a white vest, not wearing hospital protective gear, who helped him breathe. She vanished, and no one in the hospital knew who she was. Israel believes she was an angel. In another vision, he found himself in a beautiful Heavenly place with golden sand and glowing trees. Six people in royal robes welcomed him. A woman there told him he was in Heaven and encouraged him to explore. Israel felt light, joyful, and free.

Lord Jesus then spoke to Israel again, saying COVID-19 had been allowed as a modern-day plague to call people, especially the church, to repent. He rebuked Israel for denying the pandemic’s reality at first, reminding him that GOD’s judgments are real. Israel cried in his spirit, overwhelmed by the realization that he had questioned GOD’s sovereignty.

Lord Jesus emphasized that He was especially grieved by sin within the church— the bride of Christ— and was using the pandemic to purify and awaken His people. He told Israel that his near-death experience will be used to bring healing, blessing, and truth to others.

The woman in Heaven then told Israel his family and many others were praying for him. He was given the choice to stay or return. Moved by his family’s prayers, he chose to return. He also saw his deceased mother, who told him it wasn’t his time. An angelic figure gave Israel Divine instructions and blessings, and then he was returned into his body.

Israel eventually recovered and left the hospital after nine days. His experience deepened his faith, removed his fear of death, and inspired him to share GOD’s Love and message for humans to repent so they can be with Him in Heaven—or else face the opposite fate (Randy Kay)
